Peg Harriott

Peg Harriott serves as President and CEO and oversees the agency’s administration, programming and services, financing, and fundraising. Harriott who served in leadership positions at Uta Halee from 1978 to 1999 and as the Executive Director of Omaha’s YWCA since 1999 brings a wealth of experience working with children, youth and families in crisis as well as nonprofit management.

Ms. Harriott has a Masters of Business Administration and a Masters of Social Work from the University of Nebraska at Omaha. She currently serves on the Domestic Violence Coordinating Council Board of Directors and the UNO Humanics Advisory Council. Harriott received the UNO College of Business Distinguished Alumni Achievement Award in 2005. An Omaha Benson High School Graduate, she was inducted into the Benson Hall of Fame in April 2008.


Judy Kay

Judy Kay joined CSI in 1986 and has served in many supervisory rolls, she was promoted to the position of Chief Operating Officer in June 2002. Judy has a Master of Social Work from the University of Nebraska Omaha and a Bachelor of Science in Art Education from Iowa State University. She is a Certified Master Social Worker and Mental Health Practitioner.

Since coming to CSI she has worked diligently to increase diversity in staffing and the agency's programs. She has developed diversity-training sessions for all staff to help them understand the various cultures and cultural traditions that impact children and families in CSI's care. Her open acceptance of all life styles has led Judy to define and describe eloquently "what is a family in today's world." She wants only what is best for all children & she believes that children must come first.

In addition to multiple community leadership roles, Judy has served for eight years as a Council on Accreditation (COA) reviewer and was selected to serve as a COA Team Leader in 2003.


Susan Baumert

Sue Baumert began working as Chief Financial Officer for CSI in July 2005. She grew up in Lincoln and North Platte and attended the University of Nebraska where she obtained a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and a Masters of Professional Accountancy. Sue began her professional career at Kennedy and Coe, CPA's in Goodland, Kansas. After four years she moved to Omaha and worked at the University of Nebraska Omaha for 14 years, the first six in internal audit and the last eight as the Director of Business for Athletics.


Wanda Gottschalk

Wanda Gottschalk joined Child Saving Institute (CSI) in November 1995 as the Development Director. She has served as a CSI Board member and is a charter member of the CSI Guild.

Wanda previously served as the Omaha Public Library Foundation Executive Director and she served as the grant writer for Children's Square in Council Bluffs, Iowa. During her tenure at CSI, Wanda has led the agency through two successful capital campaigns and is currently engaged in the largest campaign in CSI's history. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Speech Pathology and Audiology from the University of Nebraska in Lincoln and a Master of Arts degree in Philanthropy from St. Mary's University in Winona, Minnesota.

A life-long volunteer, Wanda currently serves as an advisor to the Junior League of Omaha Nominating Committee, Joslyn Art Museum Association Board member, Omaha Public Library Foundation Board member and is a member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals.
