Child Saving Institute (CSI) is investing in its most valuable asset: its team members. Starting this summer, employees are eligible for up to $6,250 per year in tuition assistance as they earn their degrees from Bellevue University, a recognized national leader in helping motivated working adults earn a college degree.
All regular (non-temporary) employees working 30 hours or more a week are eligible to participate in CSI’s tuition assistance program. Immediate family members of eligible employees can also receive up to $3,500 per year in tuition assistance through Bellevue University. This tuition reimbursement renews annually and can add up to $25,000 over the course of a four-year bachelor’s degree.
This partnership goes beyond offering an employee benefit; it’s an essential tool for a forward-thinking workplace. A Bright Horizons study found that organizations with well‑designed education benefits programs experience measurable improvements in recruitment, retention, employee mobility and performance.
“Our employees’ growth is the most important aspect of our business,” CSI’s Chief Human Resource Officer Leslie Corona said. “CSI knows that our organization thrives when our people do. With Bellevue University’s proven track record of providing focused, career-relevant education, they will empower our employees to attain their goals and succeed throughout their careers.”
CSI also recognizes that investing in employees serves to preserve and strengthen the organization’s legacy. A study from the National Bureau of Economic Research found that tuition reimbursement programs increase employee engagement and retention. This stability supports the preservation of institutional knowledge and ensures continuity of CSI’s mission to champion what’s best for each child and family.
Through Bellevue University, CSI employees can choose from more than 50 bachelor’s degrees and 30 master’s degrees, all offered online. In addition to tuition assistance, employees can take advantage of a generous credit transfer policy that fully honors associate degrees. Students also have access to a wide range of support services, including academic advising, online tutoring, a writing center and ongoing professional development webinars.
President of Bellevue University Dr. Mary Hawkins said the partnership is a game changer. “CSI understands the value of education, and their success over the years is a direct result of their commitment to their team members,” Hawkins said. “I’m excited about the possibilities of this unique partnership and look forward to welcoming CSI team members to Bellevue University.”
As CSI employees enroll at Bellevue University and become Bruins, CSI sees this opportunity for professional development as a key driver of organizational success. A recent University of Georgia study found that limited opportunities for growth are the primary reasons employees consider leaving their jobs. CSI is proud to offer this partnership with Bellevue University as not just a “perk,” but as a core piece of infrastructure to retain the valuable people behind the organization’s meaningful work.
“Child Saving Institute’s work is rooted in caring for people, and this partnership reflects that same commitment. We’re proud to support CSI employees with access to education that helps them grow and continue making a difference for children and families,” Executive Director, Strategic Partnerships at Bellevue University, Zac Lorenzen said.
