Child Saving Institute (CSI) proudly presents Culinary Remix: Music, Moments, Mission—Reimagined. Join us on Friday, Aug. 21 from 6 to 10 p.m. at the Mid-America Center in Council Bluffs, Iowa. Culinary Remix brings together food, live music and meaningful community impact while raising vital support for the children and families served through CSI and our Children’s Square campus.
A core element to this event carries on the Children’s Square campus tradition of the Jason Awards. This award gives us the opportunity to honor community champions who make Council Bluffs a safe, welcoming place.
CSI is honoring the Council Bluffs Police Department (CBPD) and Debra Kaplan with the Jason Award this year. The CBPD is a steadfast champion in keeping Council Bluffs safe. The department often responds to calls to support children in crisis and help youth as they find stability at Children’s Square campus. Kaplan is a dedicated member of the community, with a passion for philanthropy and photography. She consistently shows up for nonprofits to help them tell their story with photos, free of charge.
Your attendance to Culinary Remix has a direct impact on the quality of services CSI can provide to children and families seeking safety and stability; especially at the Children’s Square campus.
Culinary Remix is centered around two simple things: good food and live music. This event can be remixed each year for different themes. This year, CSI is excited to launch our ‘90s edition! Featuring a local ‘90s cover band, The Day Traders, and ‘90s tastebud nostalgia.
Come ready to relive the sounds, flavors and fashion of the ‘90s. Slip on your ‘90s best—think Calvin Klein, Banana Republic, red carpet—and show up looking effortlessly chic. Not sure what to wear? Check out our mood board for some outfit inspiration.
Don’t be scrub, show your support for children and families at Culinary Remix and get jiggy with it. Buy your tickets today!
