The Child Saving Institute Guild invites you to become a member!
Through the efforts of many impassioned Child Saving Institute Guild members, hundreds of thousands of dollars have been raised through the years to benefit children and families throughout the Omaha metro area. We invite you to join this committed group of volunteers!
The Child Saving Institute Guild serves as a liaison to the community and is a fun and philanthropic way to make friends and make a difference for kids! The Guild’s primary responsibilities include:
- Enhancing agency awareness
- Engaging in fundraising projects
- Recruiting volunteers
- Securing important financial support for the agency,
- Participating in other activities as requested by the Child Saving Institute Board of Directors
The Child Saving Institute Guild organizes and volunteers for the following events!
Cabaret — CSI’s largest fundraiser of the year. The event features a wonderful dinner and great raffle prizes, followed by a hilarious comedy show. Volunteers assist with securing tables, soliciting raffle prizes, and decorating the venue.
PurseOnalities — This is a very popular luncheon featuring an engaging keynote speaker and a silent auction of fabulous handbags and accessories. The result is great fun and great funds to support children. Volunteers assemble purse packages and assist with event set-up, event check-in, and silent auction check-out.
Touch-A-Truck — A free “friend-raiser” held in the fall and open to the public that features trucks, buses, emergency vehicles, race cars, cranes, snowplows, and other heavy equipment. Volunteers help with set-up and tear down, direct and assist vehicle drivers, pick up trash, hand out toys and trinkets to children, and supervise bounce tents.
Substitute Santa — A critical program that ensures that CSI’s kids experience the thrill of receiving gifts during the holidays. Volunteers solicit and deliver toys and gift cards to CSI so program staff can “shop” for their client children and families.
