Child Saving Institute Appoints New Program Directors

Child Saving Institute (CSI) has promoted Becky Bounds and Karla Sextro and hires new Marketing Director, Chelsey Haas.
Bounds joined CSI in early 2019 as the Adoption and Permanency Specialist Supervisor where she led a team dedicated to ensuring permanency for youth in the community. She received a promotion to Director of Child Welfare Services in November 2019. Before joining CSI, Bounds worked in a variety of child welfare positions throughout the Omaha area and has 13 years of progressive experience in Child Welfare Services including case management, in-home services, therapeutic services, care coordination and crisis management. Bounds holds a bachelor of science degree in Child, Youth and Family Services from the University of Nebraska at Omaha and a master's degree in Clinical Counseling from Bellevue University.
Sextro joined CSI in March 2019 as a licensed independent mental health practitioner and licensed alcohol and drug counselor. In February 2020, Sextro was promoted to Director of Mental Health Services. Sextro has experience treating a full range of child and adolescent psychiatric disorders including children and youth on the autism spectrum disorder. Additionally, she specializes in working with at-risk teens. Sextro earned a master’s degree in Clinical Counseling from Bellevue University. She completed her graduate internship at Munroe Meyer Institute at the University of Nebraska Medical Center social work department.
Haas joined CSI in October 2019 as the Director of Marketing. Haas is an experienced marketing and communications professional focused on the non-profit sector. Before joining CSI, Haas served as the Marketing and Communications Manager at PromiseShip in Omaha. Haas holds a bachelor of arts degree in Journalism and Mass Communications from the University of Minnesota.
