Missing Youth Services

Child Saving Institute (CSI) has a partnership with Project Harmony in order to fill a gap within the Missing Youth Services. CSI will provide services to missing youth during the hours of 5:00pm - 8:00am, Monday through Thursday and 5:00pm - 8:00am, Friday through Monday.

Missing Youth Services Program is designed to assist families who have had non-system involved children run away from home. Once the child is located, Law Enforcement will contact CSI Reception Center. When the child arrives at CSI, the following assessments will be administered to the child and parents/caregiver. The following assessments are:

  • Protective Factors Survey-Child
  • Strengths & Difficulties Questionnaire-Parent/Caregiver
  • Trauma History Questionnaire-Child
  • Trauma History Questionnaire-Parent/Caregiver
  • Scoring Strengths & Difficulties Questionnaire

Once the following assessments are completed, all information will be sent over to Project Harmony. Project Harmony will assist with treatment, and coordination of services for these youth and their families.

Population Served through Missing Youth Services

Missing youth who fit the following criteria will be accepted:

  • Child 13 and under
  • CPS history
  • Missing frequency
  • Lack of services
  • Parental concern
  • Demonstrates at risk behaviors
  • Mental health concern
  • Non-system involved
  • Other

Missing Youth Services is intended for youth who fit the above criteria. Youth who fit the below criteria will not be accepted:

  • System involved
  • Minimal/no CPS history
  • Community services in place
  • Pending criminal charges, JAC or active CPS involvement
  • Minimal risk behavior
  • Other
