Parenting Support & Workshops
Looking for information on how to be the best parent you can be? Child Saving Institute offers a variety of informative workshops designed to meet your individual needs.
All parents wonder if they're getting it right. You’re not alone. Sometimes it’s hard to tell what your child needs, what her behaviors mean, and if you’re doing right by him. Developing better parenting skills will ensure a stronger bond with your child! Our free workshops can help you and your child.
Are you a teen parent or a young parent, or are you about to become one? We provide pregnant and parenting young people, ages 13 - 24, with support services and parent education.
If you have a kindergarten through middle school child in the OPS or Millard school systems and would like additional support, please consider our SAFE program. In addition to addressing school challenges, SAFE also offers valuable parenting skills, home management skills and connection with community resources.
What parents are saying...
“I enjoyed the parenting class. I feel it was helpful hearing the comments from other parents about what difficulties they had faced, how they solved those difficulties or worked through them, and their ideas about the group questions we had. The staff is helpful and respectful. I definitely learned things to help my family, including safety tips, ideas for age appropriate activities, and new ideas on how to teach my child.” - Dejah M.
"My name is Lauren, and I took a 5-week parenting class. At first, I was hesitant to take it, but then I decided I would and get it over with. I am so glad I did. I learned a lot from taking the class. It focused on my son and the behaviors that he was having and how to discipline him the correct way. I’d found myself at times raising my voice and arguing with him, and I learned that you cannot approach the situation like that. CSI’s parenting classes have helped me a lot with discipline. It is so much easier to do now and a lot less stressful. I recommend CSI’s parenting classes to anyone. You may think you don’t need them, but if you go, you may learn new things to try, just like I did." - Lauren P.
