For more than 275 years combined, we’ve worked to provide diverse programs and services, help strengthen families and communities, and offer a spectrum of support for the people we serve. Our History
For more than 275 years combined, Child Saving Institute and Children’s Square have served children and families across Nebraska and Iowa. With roots dating back to the 19th century, both pioneered childcare, mental health services and family support—evolving into comprehensive human service agencies.
In 2025, two historic organizations united. Today, as Child Saving Institute, the shared mission remains: to champion what’s best for each child and family—offering safety, healing and opportunity for every child—with heart and humanity.

Our People
Since day one, the people of CSI—our leadership team and staff, our Board of Directors and our Guild—have been a caring presence behind the services we provide and guiding force behind the mission of our organization, working together to meet changing needs and champion what’s best for each child and family.
