About the Speaker
Jeannette Walls
Jeannette Walls is the bestselling author of The Glass Castle, a memoir about her resilient and unconventional upbringing that spent more than eight years on The New York Times bestseller list and was adapted into a major motion picture in 2017. She is also the author of Half Broke Horses, The Silver Star, and Hang the Moon, all widely acclaimed and award‑winning works.
Walls is a sought‑after speaker known for sharing powerful insights on resilience, authenticity, and overcoming adversity. A Barnard College graduate, she has written for New York Magazine and Esquire and has appeared on The Today Show and The Colbert Report. She currently lives in rural Virginia with her husband.
