Behavioral Health Integration Services (BHIS) provides in-home, skills-based interventions designed to help children and families develop healthy coping strategies and improve daily functioning.
Our goal is to empower children and their caregivers with practical tools to manage behavior at home, in school and in the community.
BHIS focuses on individualized, action-oriented interventions for both the child and their family:
- Child Interventions: Address psychological, emotional, behavioral, cognitive and social factors impacting the child’s well-being.
- Family Interventions: Strengthen family dynamics and communication to support the child’s growth and success.
Program Details
Who We Serve
Children ages 4–18 and their families who are experiencing challenges with: anger control issues, poor communication, lack of self-control, verbal or physical aggression, or poor coping and social skills
How It Works
Services are provided in the child’s home with family present through weekly sessions based on the family’s availability
Requirements
The child must have active Medicaid coverage and the child and/or family must be engaged in counseling with a licensed mental health provider
